Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance

OA and RFEA combine employment capabilities

The Officers’ Association (OA) and the Forces Employment Charity (RFEA), have today announced they will be combining their employment capabilities to create a single charity, called Forces Employment Charity.

It will provide enhanced career support to all Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families throughout the UK, whatever their circumstances, rank, length of service or reasons for leaving. Details of Forces Employment Charity may be found here.

VCHA Team Lead and former Lieutenant Colonel Guy Benson said: “The VCHA’s manifesto Standard Three says “the organisation supports the UK Armed Forces as an employer” so today’s announcement is certainly something to which we shall be playing close attention.  We certainly welcome any initiative that strengthens career support to people leaving the Armed Forces community – those leaving, veterans, Reservists, and their families.”

The Veteran Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA) is committed to improving Armed Forces and Veteran care whilst raising standards for all. 105 NHS providers in England are now Veteran Aware accredited, and the VCHA aims to have all Trusts in England accredited by March 2023 at the latest.
