On VE Day, we were delighted that the NHS VCHA National Training and Education programme (NTEP) was announced on various platforms across England.   We recognise that there is already a lot of great work taking place across the NHS system, in training the NHS workforce who are already working with our Armed Forces community in healthcare settings. 

This programme will support the NHS wide system to demonstrate that the NHS and their partners receive the appropriate training and education required to ensure they can develop a skilled, educated, and inclusive NHS primary, community and secondary care workforce, to meet the evolving needs of the Armed Forces community within the NHS in England.  

The training and education team are in the process of planning stakeholder engagement sessions across the healthcare system.
